Dave Titterton - Bodybuilding
The Beginning
When I was younger, I enjoyed football and karate and had success competing in both sports, even having trials with several professional clubs. Thai boxing was, and still is a favourite for keeping fit and I have even started dabbling in Brazilian Jujitsu. Back then, though, I was torn between fight training and football and it was whilst fight training in 2003 that I started weight training. The owner of the gym told me I should compete in bodybuilding so I did, and in 2004 I won the Heavy Weight & Overall titles at the Nabba North East Britain.
Main Inspiration
My amazing wife Cheryl and my children Claudia and Sam. Cheryl works full time as a business development manager, combining this with being a great mum and a hugely supportive wife. Also, my mum, dad, my sisters and brother.... I could not do this without all their support.

USN Supplements used & why
One of my favourite USN supplements is the
Pure Protein IGF-1– nothing else touches this low carb engineered protein shake which helps to build extra lean muscle and is an essential for muscle repair and growth. It tastes great too – particularly the chocolate one. And if you want a real treat, mix chopped nuts with the pistachio flavour shake and put it in the freezer - it comes out tasting like ice-cream!
I also use the
Whey Proteinimmediately after training. It’s the quickest absorbent and drives protein straight into the body and into the muscular cells.
Every day my protein intake is 1.5gm per lb of lean body weight and in season, I take 380 gms per day.
Then there is
BCAA mTOR- the Branched-Chain amino acids which I take before and after training. These are fantastic at reducing muscle breakdown and ensuring instant muscle recovery. They increase lean muscle mass and help me improve on performance levels. I also take the
L-Glutaminein powder form during training which really helps with rapid muscle recovery.
A particular favourite are the
19 Anabol Testocapsules – maximum strength testosterone inducers which provide that extra driver to increase my muscle mass and strength. They also enable increased protein synthesis and fat loss.
The importance of supplements in bodybuilding cannot be underestimated. They are essential for building muscle mass, reducing body fat, improving performance and providing the right nutrients for the repairing process between training sessions.
