Ryan Terry
Mr International 2010

Ryan Terry is a 22 year old plumber who was crowned Mr Great Britain and took his modelling passion even further by beating 40 other countries for the prestigious title of Mister International 2010 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In addition to the main title he won the title of ‘Best Body’ beating off the majority of seasoned and professional models.  He was crowned by last year’s title holder, Bruno Kettels of Bolivia,  in front of a delighted 1000 strong audience and broadcast to over 200  million viewers around the World.
The popularity of Mister International has been likened to that of X  Factor in the UK, and Ryan is the first European to win the Mister International title, receiving congratulations from across the globe and having his face and body already appearing on billboards in Indonesia.
The win was a huge milestone in his quest to turn from a plumber to a  model.  Over the last year Ryan has worked closley with USN and has done some modelling work with local  modelling agencies and TV adverts.  Find out more below.
"Since a young age I have always been interested in sports and fitness and I would most definitely say I am very competitive in what ever I take part in."

"In school I participated in teams and represented the school in County championships with Gymnastics, Football, Swimming and Golf and collected over the years many trophies and medals for my achievements. However, it was my fitness training at the gym which I really enjoyed and felt the utmost satisfaction with my results in obtaining a high level of fitness and a good physique. It was whilst waiting for my mum one day at the gym at the age of 13 years old that started my desire to want to train. I can remember looking around the gym at people training and there were a lot of guys pumping iron when I thought this is what I would like to do. Although I admire the body building side of training, for me, training in the gym was more for core fitness and a toned physique.
Although I have trained in the gym since the age of 15 years old I have not really been interested in diet or understood the importance of it until two years ago when I started training with a friend who was extremely knowledgeable about food and nutrition.  After a while I contacted a Nutritionist from Foodtech called Ken Roscoe and he took my diet and nutrition to another level, especially during my training for the Mister International event.  When I changed my diet I instantly noticed how my energy levels increased and the tone and shape of my physique as well.  I struggled initially with the diet but it was only for a short while and the benefits far outweighed any resistance to changing my lifestyle and eating habits.  Ken Roscoe was supportive and encouraging during my ‘lows’ of training and kept me focussed right up until the event."

"My advice to anyone looking to change their physique and fitness would be to go for it; if I can do it then I know others can too.  I would suggest training with a partner or get a good training schedule which is tailored for your needs.  You could also get some useful tips with my DVD on fitness training and tailor your own training programme.  Nutrition and diet is an important aspect of training, I hope my brief on how I got started in training has inspired you to get started on a better way of life in fitness and training and as a way of keeping you motivated, follow my links at the fitness gyms in my home town, Ireland and across the globe in Singapore."

I train five days a week with two days rest to rest my body and muscles.  My training schedule for the week is:
Monday   Chest and Triceps
Tuesday  Legs and cardiovascular
Wednesday  Back and biceps
Thursday  Shoulder and Abdominals
Friday  Legs and Obliques and Cardiovascular
Saturday  Rest Day
Sunday   Swimming and Rest Day

I enjoy swimming and golf so I  take part In those sports at the weekend on my rest days.

As people worldwide pay closer attention to their health, their priorities are shifting toward keeping in good physical shape in order to enjoy their lives.
Fitness means staying young and keeping the fun of youthful days alive. Humans have tried everything to keep themselves from ageing, but in spite of all the treatments and remedies on the market, nothing is better than the basics. This means exercising on a regular basis and maintaining a workout routine. It is important and necessary to obtain complete fitness training that will address all of the aspects of body fitness. The major elements of fitness training will include finding the right type of diet to developing an appropriate type of exercise that will meet an individuals specific needs.
Among the benefits to be found in regular exercise and workouts is the fact that these activities may enhance the resistance of the body to disease and the damage that results in ageing. Some of the benefits that can be derived from physical fitness training include weight reduction, improvements to the bodys proportions, and improvements to the bodys resistance, which reduces the risk of disease. Regular exercise has also been found to improve sleep overall and even to cure insomnia, eliminate depression, and increase feelings of self-esteem. It can also provide individuals with more energy and increase the bodys stamina.
Fitness training can help raise the body's metabolism, which means that the body is using more calories per day. As the body ages, the metabolism tends to slow down, which is a major contribution to the weight gain associated with middle age. Increasing the rate of metabolism ultimately results in improvements in weight. Fitness training also helps increase the strength of muscles. Keeping an appropriate rate of metabolism will keep the body from storing fat and encourage the burning of greater amounts of calories.
Exercising regularly maintains a strong and toned look to the body, which increases its attractiveness as well as its health. This works to help individuals have positive feelings about themselves. In many cases, regular exercise can bring a sense of psychological peace and happiness. Regular exercise may also limit or reduce the symptoms of menopause, lessen the susceptibility of heart disease, and reduce cholesterol levels.
Overall, having a regular exercise and fitness routine will give a body a more toned appearance, control weight, and enhance physical and psychological health.
If you want to build lean muscle while burning fat so you can get serious definition, you need to perform exercises that stimulate as many muscles and expend as much energy as possible <em>at the same time. Using these types of exercises will dramatically accelerate your results
If you want fast results, it's critical that you incorporate exercises that allow your body to move naturally with full range of motion so you can skyrocket your metabolism and tone your entire physique.
