Wayne Gordon AKA "Doom" (of hit TV Series Gladiators)

Beginning

Pace & Go

Wayne Gordon was born in 1970 in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to England permanently in 1980. From a young age Wayne had a love of sporting competition and growing up in Jamaica, sports, especially cricket, were a big part of his life.

He first gained his physical education and personal training qualifications whilst serving with the British Armed Forces.
...it was through the Army that Wayne was finally able to recognise his potential as an athlete and would attempt any competitive sport but he never knew where this would take him.

He later left the Army and pursued a career with the Physical Education Branch of the Metropolitan Police. Since then, Wayne has begun the process of studying and increasing his knowledge of Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation, Fitness, and Health management.

Main Inspiration

I am inspired not overly by others but by my own doing. If I fail to achieve my goals then I have failed me. I work hard and train hard and aim to be successful in everything I am involved with. The Pace & Go quote that we love to use and pass on to the youths is that; 'if you settle for nothing less than your best, you will be amazed with what you will achieve'

Training

My training days vary, that is because I believe variety is the spice to a long physical success.I train six days a week, between 1and 3 hours a day. My sessions may include a mixture of sprints, plyometrics, hill runs, sledge pulling, car pushing, medicine ball, dumb bell training, body weight circuits, Olympic weight lifting, core training, horse riding and pre-hab.

USN Supplements used:

Protein bars; chocolate and vanilla ' I love the taste ...it’s like having a treat, they really fill me up and are a great post training ‘pick me up'. Amino Pro; are really important when training hard and lifting heavy weights
Triple Omega; great for oiling my body from the inside out, help regulate my hormone balance and appetite’.
MultiPlex; with all the training I do I have to make sure I get enough vitamins and minerals, this daily dose of extra nutrients help my body perform at its fullest potential.
CLA; helps keep my body fat low and lean muscle high.
Creatine x4; I use creatine when I want to add muscle mass and strength gains, I like this product as it does not create bloating or muscle retention.
ZMA; this crucial supplement helps me have a great night’s sleep and train harder

Future Goals

Pace & Go

I have been involved in sports from the age of twelve and years on I am still enjoying training and taking part in many sports. However, at Pace & Go we want to pass our knowledge and skills to the young through school projects and workshops.

As well as working for the Police as their Senior Rehab Therapist, I do a lot of presentations on recognising poor posture leading to "Back complaints in the work force". My goal is to leave behind a legacy by reducing musculoskeletal disorders in the work environment before I move on to bigger things.

I would love to take part in Strictly Come Dancing competing against Jenny or I'm a Celebrity Jungle.

I would also represent USN internationally and to be a presenter for the brand when you have your own fitness channel.

My goal is to write for various fitness magazines which we are now in the process of doing and plan to write several books on training for kids and create a number of workout DVD’s.

We are currently working on a number of television programs and hope to make have a series commissioned.
