Our bodies are composed of about 60% water – this water helps the following bodily fluids function, such as digestion, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, absorption, and maintenance of body temperature. When your body is low on fluids, your brain triggers your thirst mechanism – always listen to your body and drink water when you need it!
Water helps control calories
Substituting water for a higher calorie beverage will of course help you to lose weight. Also aim for foods with high water content as they will be absorbed by your body much slower; meaning that you will feel full for longer. Some examples of water-rich foods include fruits, veggies, broth-based soups, oatmeal and beans.
Keeps your skin glowing
